We are seeking a skilled and motivated Telecommunication Engineer with hands-on experience in MikroTik, Cisco, and Juniper networking equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructures for both residential and business clients. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain network systems using MikroTik, Cisco, and Juniper routers and switches.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
- Implement and manage routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP) and VLAN configurations.
- Perform firmware upgrades, security patches, and system backups.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer installations and service delivery.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
- Provide technical support and training to junior engineers or clients as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with MikroTik RouterOS, Cisco IOS, and Juniper Junos.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds).
- Ability to interpret network diagrams and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIP, or MTCNA/MTCRE are highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Experience:
- Working in ISP or enterprise network environments.
- Experience with fiber optic technologies and wireless networking.
- Knowledge of OFNL, CityFibre, or similar infrastructure providers.
